“Singing is always a source of pure joy”

Born in the village Ete on Hungarian Culture Day, Attila completed the solfege and musical theory course at Gyor Janos Richter Musical College before getting a diploma in vocal education and choir instruction at the Hungarian Music Academy. This was where he first met Katus (who was studying folk music at the time), and later Mate in the Academy’s alumni choir.

In September 2011, he won the position of singing teacher and choir instructor at the Buda Cistercian Saint Emericus High School, preparing him for Jazzation membership in 2012 (the school is the alma mater of Katus and Nono). He was also a folk dancer for 13 years, studied the baritone horn and flute, and is happily married since August 2010.

Attila knows choir singing like the back of his hand: he used to be a member of the Lajos Vass Chamber Choir and Új Liszt Ferenc Chamber Choir, and has led the Solymar Men’s Choir since 2011. His musical talent, his leadership skills and cooperative abilities all make him a perfect match for Jazzation.
